Dear ACS community,
This week, some schools across the state received anonymous, emailed bomb threats that law enforcement has determined are not credible.
Avon Central Schools has not received one of these emails.
Multiple law enforcement agencies investigated these emails and have determined they are swatting attempts directed at another part of the state.
The safety of our staff and students is our highest priority. As you are aware, Avon has two School Resource Officers and we are appreciative to the Town, Village, and School Board for dedicating additional resources to our schools.
I would like to encourage our students, staff, and families always to reach out to us if you ever see something out of the ordinary or learn of something concerning.
This is an important way that you can help keep our communities safe.
