The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for much of New York, including Livingston County, for yesterday June 6, and today, June 7. According to the DEC, heightened levels of fine particulate matter as a result of Canadian wildfires have resulted in degraded air quality which may cause problems for those with pre-existing respiratory conditions.

Livingston County’s air quality is in the Purple Category, which recommends all activities be moved indoors.

We continue to monitor the air quality reports from the DEC and will take appropriate action based on recommendations and given changing conditions.  Use the link below for air quality updates where you live.

Wildfires can present challenges over a period of time, so we will begin looking ahead at events that may be compromised by this situation.  When needed, we will do our best to plan for appropriate alternatives.
