To Avon Community:
This afternoon at approximately 2:50 a parent called and notified an ACS staff member of a suspicious person. The individual was described as an older caucasion male driving north on Pole Bridge in a green car. This person allegedly attempted to initiate a conversation with a female Avon student in Grade 8 who was walking home at approximately 2:35. The student ignored the individual, continued home, and reported the incident to a parent.
The parent called the MS and was asked to immediately call 911. ACS began working with our School Resource Officer to report the incident. Regional first responders were contacted and reported to the home to investigate. The Avon Police Department is also aware of the situation.
