Wow! What a whirlwind Friday was here at Avon Central Schools!

We welcomed hundreds of athletes from more than a dozen local school districts to our campus for our annual Special Olympics event!

We’re proud of each and every athlete for showing such determination, bravery and passion in each event. Seeing them compete, support one another and celebrate their successes was truly inspiring.

Congratulations to all of our special olympians! Your effort, perseverance, and spirit shined through and you should be incredibly proud of everything you accomplished throughout the day.

And to everyone who helped make our 2026 Special Olympics such a success - thank you! 

It was obvious from the first bus arrival to the last thrown softball that this event was a labor of love and we count ourselves lucky to live among people who choose to give of their time, effort and energy to lift others up.
