The Avon-Livonia-Geneseo Lakers put together a complete team win over Waterloo on senior night yesterday, powered by a dominant offensive performance and tough defense all over the field!

Leading the attack was 8th grader Owen S. with 5 goals while Will W. added 2 goals and 2 assists. Nikolai H. chipped in a goal and Stavros K. and Brian G. each recorded multiple assists to keep the offense rolling. The final score was 8-4. 

At the faceoff X, Rider V. controlled possession with all 11 faceoff wins and 5 ground balls. Defensively, Ronan C. led the way with 4 takeaways, while the Lakers totaled 12 takeaways and 34 ground balls as a team. Senior Ayden S. came up big when it mattered with 8 saves on 12 shots! 

Last night’s win also marked Coach Rumfola’s 25th career win with the Lakers - way to go, Coach!

The Lakers travel to Marcus Whitman tonight. Game time is 6 p.m.
