Freshman is 'NYC Bound Competition' nominee
We’re thrilled to announce that Avon’s own freshman phenom Quinn K. is a nominee for the Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Stars of Tomorrow NYC Bound Competition!
Quinn, who portrayed the titular character in our High School Drama Club’s production of “Annie” last month, was one of 40 nominees selected from a pool of more than 200 to participate in the competition.
She’ll be heading to RBTL’s West Herr Auditorium next month for a preliminary audition in front of a panel of judges and, depending on her score, may progress to the next round of the competition, which will take place before a live audience May 21 at West Herr Auditorium.
Ultimately, two winners will be selected to represent the Rochester region at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards - also known as The Jimmy Awards - in New York City this June!
Congratulations, Quinn, and best of luck next month - we know you’ll make Avon proud!
