Posted Date: 01/30/26 (11:58 AM)

Give it up for our varsity swimming and diving team, which scored 503 points at the Livingston County Athletic Association Championships last week, beating out second place finisher Livonia by 80 points to capture its first LCAA title in more than a decade!

Senior Brandon H. led the way for the Hawks with individual first place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle (50.28) and 200-yard freestyle (1:51.65).

The team of Jax R., Kyle G., Chris D. and Brandon H.  won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:38.17 while the team of Jax R., Fred D., Jessie C. and Brandon H. won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:29.66.

Other individual first place finishes came from senior Jax R., who touched the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.21, and senior Isabella C., who won the 11-dive event with a score of 230.78.

Other podium finishers for the Hawks were:

• Jessie C.: 3rd place in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.90) and 2nd place in the 200-yard individual medley (2:15.83).

• Jax R.: 3rd place in the 100-yard freestyle (51.26).

• Molly M.: 3rd place in the 11-dive event (194.78 points)

Following the meet, Jax R., Kyle G., Jessie C., Isabella C., Brandon H. and Fred D. were named LCAA All-Stars.

The Hawks will now turn their attention to the Section V Class C Championships at the Webster Aquatic Center Feb. 4 and 7.

“Sectionals is going to be a battle,” said Head Coach Dan Paganin. “There’s really good teams from Livonia, Byron-Bergen and Le Roy that we’re going to have to contend with but these kids have been putting in the work and I’m excited to see what they can do in Webster.”
