Runners post strong showings at Oatka Creek Park
Our varsity cross country squads traveled to Oatka Creek Park to take on Livonia, Holley and Wheatland-Chili Tuesday evening. The hilly, 3.1-mile course proved to be a tough challenge, but the River Hawks were ready for it.
On the girls’ side, Maria G. won the race with a time of 20:39, followed by Quinn K. in 4th (25:26), Savannah S. in 12th (31:39) and Quinn F. in 13th (39:57).
The boys were led by Wyatt K., who claimed the individual win with a time of 18:07. Close behind was Luigi M. in 2nd place (18:28), Owen H. in 7th (19:50), Mitchell B. in 12th (20:54) and Hunter P. in 15th (22:02).
Our boys team remains undefeated in LCAA-GRAA Division I as they edged out Livonia yesterday by just one point, 27-28.
Up next for the River Hawks is the Alexander Invitational at the Field of Dreams this coming Friday, Oct. 17.
Good luck, River Hawks!
