We’ve got some BIG news to share, Avon.

First grade teacher Jen Leonard, a 34-year veteran in our district, is this week’s News 8 Golden Apple Award winner! 

News 8 stopped by Leonard’s classroom last week to surprise her with her award in front of all of her students and we couldn’t be prouder! 

We’ve known for YEARS how lucky our students are to have someone like Mrs. Leonard teaching them but now everyone else knows it, too! 

Thank you Mrs. Carrie Cole, who nominated Mrs. Leonard for the Golden Apple Award, to Katrina Irwin and News 8 for making the trip down to Avon last week and to Mrs. Leonard for making a positive impact in the lives of our students, every day, for the past 12,410 days!
