Class of 2025 Top 10: Megann L.

Posted Date: 6/16/25 (1:20 PM)

Q: Name?

A: Megann L.

Q: Class Rank?

A: 5th.

Q: Parents’ Names?

A: Larry LaRose and Lisa LaRose.

Q: Future plans?

A: I plan to go to Monroe Community College for two years for their radiologic technology program. After that, I just plan to work in the field.

Q: Activities & Sports?

A: Dance since kindergarten and throwing on the track team for 11th and 12th grade.

Q: What is your proudest achievement?

A: Being 1 of 3 high schoolers accepted to the rad tech program at MCC.

Q: What will you miss most about school?

A: The people and casual environment of high school.

Q: What’s the most important lesson you learned in high school?

A: You’ll know who your friends are. Don’t try to force something that will never happen.

Q: What do you hope your life looks like in 10 years?

A: I hope I am living on my own in a nice area and just financially stable with good people around me.

Q: What’s your favorite place in Avon?

A: My favorite place in Avon is probably by the water in the Avon Driving Park. It’s kind of secluded and nice to go there with people.

Q: What’s your go-to Tom Wahl’s order?

A: Just ice cream. I don’t really eat at Tom Wahl’s and I’m vegetarian.

Q: If you could tell your eighth grade self one thing, what would it be?

A: You’ll be OK.

Q: What do you want people to know about what it’s like to be you, to be your age, at this moment in time?

A: It’s stressful to be a senior. There are a lot of things changing and a lot of things happening and with the current state of the world it can be nerve-wracking thinking about the future and just the best way to survive and have money.

Q: What would the title of your autobiography be?

A: I would not write one.

Q: Who would play you in a movie about your life?

A: Depending on when the movie is being made, I would play myself. But for someone to play my younger self, I am unsure. I’m not well aware of the current child actors that exist.

Q: What scares you about the future?

A: The economy, and not knowing what will happen and having only some level of control over my life.

Q: What gives you hope about the future?

A: People, friendship.

Q: What trend or fad did you participate in that you will definitely regret in the future (or actively regret right now)?

A: I don’t really participate in trends. I like to be myself. However, sometimes I participate if I feel as though something that has been brought to my attention simply because of its popularity is relatable or represents me well. I don’t think I will regret anything related to trends.

Q: If you had to cook a meal to impress someone, what would you make?

A: I would make a quesadilla. My brother says I make the best quesadilla he has tried. Although I would be nervous - I don’t like acting as though I could impress someone with something because if they aren’t impressed that is just embarrassing.

Q: What superpower would you pick and why?

A: Teleportation because I wouldn’t need to buy a plane ticket, I could just teleport somewhere nice on a weekend and then wouldn’t even have to pay for a hotel. I could teleport back to my bed to sleep for the night.

Q: Imagine it’s 2047 and you have teenage kids of your own. What advice would you give your 40(ish)-year-old self about being a good parent?

A: I suppose my advice to myself would be to not have hurt feelings if they don’t want to spend as much time with you and to give your kids space. I can imagine I would want them to spend time with me but teens do require more space and it doesn’t mean they don’t like you.
