Girls soccer punches finals ticket with 1-0 win

Hawks advance!

Our varsity girls soccer squad got the 1-0 win over Byron-Bergen last night to advance to the Section V Class C1 title game later this week!

The game’s lone goal came in the 60th minute of play as Kaelyn M. floated an arcing direct kick into fellow freshman Emma G.’s waiting right foot.

The Hawks held the Bees scoreless for the rest of the game to punch their C1 finals ticket!

It’ll be a birds of prey battle for the C1 brick as your River Hawks face the Hawks of Holley Friday, Oct. 30 at Geneseo. Holley will enter the game with a record of 13-5-1 while your Hawks are 13-2-3.
