Annual 'GLOW' event helps high schoolers broaden career horizons

Nearly 50 of our students joined more than 1,200 high schoolers from across the Genesee-Livingston-Orleans-Wyoming region yesterday for GLOW With Your Hands at the Genesee County Fairgrounds in Batavia.

Since its launch in 2019, the annual career expo has given students an opportunity to explore the many career paths available right here in our region, particularly in growing, high-demand industries.

This year, more than 70 local businesses and organizations took part, offering students hands-on activities and demonstrations in advanced manufacturing, agriculture, food production, skilled trades and more.

A big thank you to the businesses, volunteers and community partners from across the GLOW region who helped make this event possible. Our students came away with plenty of new experiences, knowledge and ideas about where their futures might take them!
