Your Avon River Hawks will look to hoist their second straight sectional brick Friday night as they take on Notre Dame Batavia/Byron-Bergen in the Section V Class D Championship. 

The Hawks are the #2 seed and are 7-2 on the season, with one of those wins, a 48-20 drubbing, coming in week 6 against the #5-seeded Fighting Irish. 

Heading into Friday’s final, Avon has the statistical edge in nearly every meaningful category, including points scored per game (31.4-26.1), points allowed per game (16.8-24.9), total yards per game (369.3-317) and takeaways (16-15).

Friday’s game starts at 7 p.m. at SUNY Brockport’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium, 350 New Campus Dr., Brockport.
