As an update on the process of preparing for the May 16 Budget Vote & Election, we have news about the Board candidate process. On Friday, April 14th, a BOE candidate withdrew their packet for consideration for a BOE seat.  This was within their rights prior to the official deadline for submission.  However, it does have some implications for Avon's process.  

Due to the withdrawal of a nominating petition for a Board of Education candidate, pursuant to the Education Law, the period for submission of nominating petitions for vacant seats in Avon is extended for fifteen days.  Nominating petitions must now be filed with the District Clerk no later than  May 1, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
