Welcome to Avon High School Home of the Braves
"The Biggest Small School in the Country"
Opportunity, Effort, Success
The theme of opportunity, effort, success stems from our fundamental belief as a school that we must provide the stage for our students to shine. They in turn must learn to take ownership of their strengths in moving towards their full potential and beyond. As we prepare them for the next test, day, year, or stage of life, it is imperative that interwoven within our education fabric are the threads for ensuring that our kids learn and master basic concepts in all areas, develop the capacity to learn independently while questioning norms and common sense, and build on their soft skill capacity of doing the little things that are critical to success in college, the work world, as well as life. Accordingly, we know that achievement is broader than grades or awards, but rather a realization of one's own talents, voice, and confidence. We trust that our focus will build these capacities in each of our kids. We hope that each day here at AHS is one small step forward to the complete development of the person, and that every step is filled with excitement and enthusiasm for ever better heights. As our kids improve, we hope that they do so in a manner that will allow them to succeed in each and every endeavor they encounter, and that despite knowledge and credentials, it will always be the integrity of a person that adds value to their surroundings. As always, thank you for your trust in us.
Braves Pride~
